Take Out Box Template for Gifts – A Must Have for Christmas Gift Giving

Now is the time for gift giving and what better way to send a little love than with a homemade gift.  To deliver it, I have a take out box template that makes it easy to make a customized package for your gift.

These are fun for all the holidays.  Christmas treats for your kids classmates, cookies, dog treats, and more.

This template is designed to fit your standard peice of paper so the finished product measures approximately 2 3/4″ Wide x 2 1/4″ Deep x 2 1/2″ Tall.  If you have the means, you can just make a larger copy of the template to make larger boxes.

Earlier this week I brought you my Winter Subway Art Printable.  That is what I used for the box in the tutorial.

Now… HOW do you make the take out box? 

You will need: 

Heavy Paper (photo or card stock)

If you want a design, you will need to have a printable

Scissors

Stapler

Now… HOW do you put it together? 

1. Print the Take Out Box Template onto a plain piece of paper.
2. Print your design on your photo paper or card stock.  If you choose not to do a design print, you can always embellish later.
3. Make a copy of the template on the back side of your printed photo paper or card stock.
4. Cut out your template.
5. Fold the box.  Start with the bottom folds, then do sides.  Side flaps will fold outwards. Staple or glue your side flaps down.
6. Close it up and you are done!
7. Embellish with stickers or decorations.  Add a string to carry.
