A car and a dress? How can I say they are similar in any way? After driving the 2013 Kia Optima SXL, let me tell you – they are very similar indeed.
We all have that one dress. The dress that is “THE” dress. You fell in love with it at first sight, when you put it on you feel confident and sexy. The dress that if it was acceptable, you would wear it every day. For some it is a prom dress or wedding dress. Maybe it’s the little black cocktail dress. Whatever dress it...
On a recent trip to Seattle, I just happen to stumble upon VegFest 2013. I had never been to one, so I thought I for sure needed to get up and see it. Little did I know, this little gathering is very popular here in Seattle and I had to wait in a very long line to get in despite showing up 15 minutes before the door opened! I knew then, I was going to find some great new things.
Vegfest primarily is made up of food vendors – both Vegetarian and Vegan options. Many of them new start-ups local to the Northwest area....
I recently had the pleasure of attending, “Introduction to the World of Wines” at Taste Washington 2013. This class, moderated by: Sean Sullivan of Washington Wine Report, and paneled by: Dr. Keving Pogue of Whitman College, Thomas Price of The Metropolitan Grill, Linda Murphy author of “American Wine” and Thomas Henick-Kling of Washington State University, focused on what makes this region a prime location for growing grapes and making wine, as well as understanding the difference in varieties with blind...
I’m so excited that I have been invited to attend the Taste Washington Food & Wine event in Seattle this weekend. Taste Washington is the largest single region food and wine show featuring over 225 wineries, 60 local restaurants and 13 award-winning chefs. It all is happening at Century Link Center, Downtown Seattle. I simply can not wait to see all the wonderful food and demonstrations – (I’m hoping to bring back some great Vegetarian ideas) and taste Washington wines!!
What will the show...
If you know me, you know I love a good bottle of red wine. Well that is exactly what I found in Wild Horse Winery Central Coast Cabernet Sauvignon. This 2010 Cabernet is 99% Cabernet Sauvignon and 1% Syrah, giving it a pure, rich Cabernet flavor.
Wild Horse Winery
Most of this Wild Horse variety comes from the Paso Robles AVA with 9% coming from Monterey AVA. The warm Monterey area yeilds a rich and deep grape lending delicious flavors to the wine. It has been described as having flavors of cherry and vanilla...
My kids both have summer birthdays and I find it extremely difficult to arrange not one, but two parties over the summer where we will be in town AND all their friends will be in town. So this year, after both attended friends party and started dreaming of their next party which in reality probably wouldn’t happen, I decided to throw them a “half-birthday” party.
My youngest daughter was turning 7 1/2 in just a few weeks AND it was on a weekend. Perfect! They were so excited to start the planning.
Luckily, my kids like...
I have got summer on my mind… ahhh… hopefully it will be here soon! Until then, how about dreaming of what you will be wearing when the sunshine and warm weather appear. This is my Coffee Date Collection. Casual. Cute. Yet Sophisticated and Fun. Where would YOU wear this?

We love to travel and this time we had the chance to try out a new hotel to us. The Coast Gateway Hotel at Sea Tac Airport south of Seattle in Washingotn State.
We had an early flight so we had decided to stay at an airport nearby. The Coast Gateway is literally right there. The view out our window was the airline terminals. Surpisingly, it was very quiet overnight. We were not on the street side and the planes that were coming in and out to load/unload didn’t make any noise.
The lobby was very well decorated for the Holidays...
How many of you have heard of Medieval Times? Chances are you have as it is one of the most popular dinner shows in the US! I went years ago to this Medieval Gaming Tournament when I was 14 years old and have wanted to go back ever since. As a “Vegetarian” mom however, the Medieval pile of meat that is so popular for dinner did not appeal to me. You can imagine my excitement when I found out that they have a Vegetarian option! I got in touch with a representative to schedule my visit right away and was invited to come...
