A Monster High Half Birthday Hotel Party

My kids both have summer birthdays and I find it extremely difficult to arrange not one, but two parties over the summer where we will be in town AND all their friends will be in town.  So this year, after both attended friends party and started dreaming of their next party which in reality probably wouldn’t happen, I decided to throw them a “half-birthday” party.

My youngest daughter was turning 7 1/2 in just a few weeks AND it was on a weekend. Perfect!  They were so excited to start the planning.

Luckily, my kids like the same things so we easily were able to pick Monster High for our party goods.  I received my supplies through birthdayexpress.com.  They have a ton of options and party packs at much better prices than our local party store.  We ordered a basic party pack and the ultimate party favor pack.  They arrived quickly and were great quality.  Just like the ones at the local stores – just cheaper. YAY!

Now – the challenge of a winter birthday suddenly dawned on me… what do you do if you can’t be outside?  Some of the kids have allergies so my house was out (way too much kitty hair around here, lol!)  So we came up with renting a hotel room for a “swim party”.

The Quality Inn here in our hometown was very accomodating, letting us use the breakfast room for our pizza and cake, then off to swimming they went.  It was nice to be able to wander right back to our room and crash for the night!  Not only was the staff friendly and helpful, the hotel rates are very reasonable.  I will definitely consider staying again.

We had a blast and so did all the girls.  So if you are faced with this summer birthday challenge – I highly recommend a half birthday swim party!

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
