Morel Mushrooms – Saute’d in Garlic and Butter

Have you ever eaten a Morel Mushroom?  They are seriously the best mushroom ever.  We are lucky enough to have an area near enough for a day trip to find these little treasures.  They are crazy expensive to buy and now I know why.  They are so hard to find!  We spent a few hours hunting and only came back with a medium sized paper bag full.  

The best way to cook these up is debatable, but I prefer simply saute’d with garlic and butter.

Morel Mushrooms Saute'd with Garlic and Butter

Ingredients
  1. Morel Mushrooms
  2. Vegan Butter
  3. Garlic
  4. Olive Oil
Instructions
  1. In a saucepan, melt butter (be generous)
  2. Add garlic and mushrooms and saute
  3. Cook until mushrooms are tender and butter liquid burns off
  4. Add a little bit of oil to brown and crisp the mushrooms
  5. Serve
Notes
  1. I did not add measurements for the ingredients as it will vary to taste and the amount of mushrooms you aquire. Be generous with butter and use garlic to your taste.
