Oriental Green Beans with Tofu

I just love asian flavors with vegetables.  For a quick and easy dinner a stir fry is always an easy solution.  This Oriental Green Beans with Tofu recipe is just a twist on the traditional stir fry.  If you have ever tried fried green beans, then you will understand why I chose to go with the breaded option for this recipe.  It is just flat out delicious!  Pair up these beans with a few Veggie Spring Rolls and you got yourself an easy, healthy meal.  You can change this recipe up with any veggies or add some heat by tossing in some crushed red chilis or sriracha sauce.

Oriental Green Beans with Tofu

A easy to fix dinner packed with protein
Ingredients
  • Fresh Green Beans
  • ½ Block Extra Firm Tofu-Cubed
  • ½ Cup Lite Soy Sauce
  • 2 Cloves Fresh Garlic Diced
  • 1 TBSP Fresh Grated Ginger
  • Cornstarch (1/2 Cup)

Instructions
  1. Place your cleaned and trimmed beans and cubed tofu in a ziploc bag
  2. Add Soy Sauce to Coat (about ½ Cup)
  3. Add Garlic and Ginger
  4. Marinate for at least 30 minutes
  5. Remove beans and tofu and place in a bowl
  6. Toss with cornstarch until well coated
  7. Saute in frying pan with a little bit of oil until browned
  8. *Optional- add some red chili flakes for a little heat
  9. Serve

My hubby is not a big tofu fan, but this one passed the test.  He ate it all up and went back for more.
