So I have discovered since I made the “healthier” Funfetti Cake Batter Dip, I can do so much more with it than just dip! It is campfire season and S’mores are a must. But when you run out of marshmallows you improvise. I decided to pull out the cake batter dip and slap on a big spoonful with the chocolate on the graham cracker and OMG!!! Pure Bliss!!!
Yes, I do have a weakness for cake batter so I think anything that tastes like cake batter is just heaven, but these were actually really good. I...

Have you ever had a cocktail with Ginger in it? Ginger Beer or Ginger Cider? I have recently become obsessed with the flavor of ginger as it pairs so well with so many fruity flavors. Not long ago, my sister actually purchased a Ginger Vodka that we made a few mixed drinks out of and it got me to thinking that it would be great to use the real thing. So, that is how the Ginger SNAP Cocktail was born. The fresh Ginger gives the drink a “Snap” or a little kick! Hope you like it as much as I did…...
Everyone loves popsicles right? We do! What do we love more than popsicles? Making our own! These Berry Fresh Fruit Popsicles were made from our favorite Driscoll’s Berries – Blueberries and Blackberries. Add in some lime and mint and you got the makings for a special treat. Now I like my pops tangy and tart so I did not add any sugar to sweeten these up. You may want to consider adding a bit of agave if you don’t love sour lime!

Today instead of one of my own recipes, I have decided to share a recipe that is on my “to do” list. I find so many great blogs and recipes that inspire the food I eat and cook in my own kitchen that I want to start sharing those resources with you too! This post for a Chickpea Burger with Israeli Salad comes from Hungry Couple, who regularly comes to the Foodie Friends Friday Recipe Party. It looks just beautiful and I bet it tastes fantastic too. This is on my short list to make this weekend. Check...
Yes! Another drink from my Smirnoff Citrus Vodka! I seriously used just about all the fruits and juices we had in the house using up that bottle, lol! This drink was inspired by one I had at a local martini bar recently. A perfect drink to cool you down on a hot summer day… or like it is here… a very hot 95 degree Spring day. Take your tea one to the next level with my Just Peachy – Citrus Hard Tea!

Sangrias are the perfect party drink. It’s easy to mix up a batch early in the day or the night before and it’s ready when you are. I also love it because it’s one of those drinks that you can sip on without worry of having too much alcohol too quickly! Sangrias are so easy to make because you can literally use any beverages and fruit you have on hand. This recipe is one of my favorites and it looks so pretty too!

I stumbled upon a “Cinco de Mayo Cheesecake” from The French Whisk that I knew I had to recreate in a healthier version. I knew right away how I wanted to try…. A yogurt cheesecake. I have seen a few amazing looking yogurt cheesecakes from friends and have been dying to try one. This was my opportunity. I used this recipe from A Baking Girl to guide me in the right direction. Making some simple changes, I totally transformed the two recipes into one healthy and very spicy dish. We actually...
I don’t know about you, but I don’t have a “favorite” cocktail. When I buy a bottle of alcohol, I want to be able to mix it in many different ways. This little recipe was drink number 2 from my Citrus Smirnoff Vodka. Fresh Mango Mojito. Well, I guess I sorta have a favorite, because I do LOVE any kind of Mojito, lol! After drinking this one though, I really wished I had more mangos. My neighbors were very jelous and I was not willing to share!!

I recently had the pleasure of attending, “Introduction to the World of Wines” at Taste Washington 2013. This class, moderated by: Sean Sullivan of Washington Wine Report, and paneled by: Dr. Keving Pogue of Whitman College, Thomas Price of The Metropolitan Grill, Linda Murphy author of “American Wine” and Thomas Henick-Kling of Washington State University, focused on what makes this region a prime location for growing grapes and making wine, as well as understanding the difference in varieties with blind...
